Christian Locke is a 22-year-old St. Louis-based rock and alternative musician/songwriter dazzling audiences with his electric guitar talent. His career blends creating music and social media content, which has earned him 4.5 million followers on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube since the launch of his journey in late 2020 – when he began posting popular song covers from his basement studio! Christian stands out by blending three fascinating elements into each post: music, lighting & transitions, and an innovative approach that’s led to remarkable success as an artist.

QUESTION: Who inspired you to start pursuing a career in music?

Christian Locke: My parents. I know that’s an unusual answer, but I mean it. They have an expansive musical palette and passed that along to me. Growing up, classic rock was played all over my home and influenced my interest in that career.

QUESTION: What instruments do you play?

Christian Locke: Besides the obvious answer of the guitar, which I’m best known for and is my profession, I can play a lot else. The bass guitar, ukulele, mandolin, banjo, drums, and trumpet are other instruments I can handle with ease.

QUESTION: Who would you cite for your musical influences, particularly for the guitar?

Christian Locke: Thanks to my parents, I was introduced to many artists I wouldn’t have otherwise found. Stevie Ray Vaughan, Toy Caldwell of The Marshall Tucker Band, and Derek Trucks. Recently, I’ve been getting into heavy metal as an influence though I am not as well-versed in it as in classic rock.

QUESTION: You’ve been playing for 11 years, 3 “professionally” Has anybody given you feedback for your work from the musical world?

Christian Locke: Miley Cyrus, Pierce The Veil, Boney M, and even The Phantom of the Opera musical have shown me some love with their comments. I am just getting started, so the fact that I’ve garnered so much attention so far has blown me away.

On Valentine’s Day, multi-instrumentalist Christian Locke drops a brand-new track – “Three Little Words.” So get ready for an extra memorable soundtrack to add to your February 14th playlist!
