Mogul, Musician & Model – Sitting Down with Trucco

I’m a Chilean artist of Italian and Spanish descent, born in September 1982. My lifelong passion for music, TV, and media led to my participation in the Music Video Clip “Toda la Noche” with the girl group Supernova at 19 years old and dancing on Canal13’s Generación 2000 show every Sunday. After acting stints left me yearning for something new musically speaking, I finally launched my career proper this past 2021 – recording countless unreleased tracks eagerly waiting to be shared before releasing the single “Medicine” last month, which has already had several remixes crafted around it!

QUESTION: When did you first realize that you wanted to have a career in music?

Trucco: I had wanted to get involved in music for a while, but my debut came in 2008. Before that, I had dipped my toes into it with my music video for the band Supernova’s hit song “Toda La Noche.” People paid much attention to that, inspiring me to embrace music. So actually, 2008 was a pretty pivotal year for me.

QUESTION: What else happened in 2008?

Trucco: I participated in the reality TV show “Amore Ciego 2” (Love is Blind 2 for English speakers). That raised my profile, which aired on canal13tv that same year. I also studied acting at Fernando Gonzalez’s Chilean drama school.

QUESTION: Do you think a career in acting prepared you for a music career?

Trucco: Definitely. They are both performances. In acting, you are performing, telling a story, and building up the character and the plot. With music, it is pretty similar. You tell a story with music, perhaps more subtle than with acting. I engage the audience, and reading the crowd is essential to being an actor and a musician.

QUESTION: What made you relocate to Los Angeles?

Trucco: Los Angeles is the world’s entertainment capital, so it seemed logical to come up here. I’m still very involved in multiple projects in Santiago, Chile, but I figured it was time to take my career to the next level.

Trucco has released a sultry track of Latin Pop and reggaeton, Camboyan. It’s an intimate experience full of passionate lyricism and lush arrangements that captivates you with its soft yet physical energy. Sweeping from tropical to reggae vibes, the production quality is stellar – it truly sparkles! Trucco creates something special here as they expertly balance strength with style.
