jacuh, a musician from Upstate New York who has been writing songs since he was 13 years old, combines many genres of music including West Coast trap rhythms melded inside bars layered by hip hop recordings and instrumentals. He is known for his intensifying category-defying genre-fusing sound that incorporates parts rap-rock sounds with contemporary pop vocals with lush synthesizer arrangements all seamlessly put together in perfect balance making it hard to not only describe what you’re listening but also impossible to pinpoint exactly where one would start or end when exploring his masterpieces.
He is the product of a diverse background that has been shaped by many influences, but he still manages to create something new with each new drop. His sound hints at Witt Lowry’s influence while remaining entirely unique in its own right-a difficult task for any artist or songwriter!
jacuh’s latest single “i got” is a track about flexin` with hard-spitting lines powered by a head-nodding kick drum beat that has earned him notable press mentions and radio play.
jacuh shares, “When I first made my personal social media “artist” identities, I blocked people I met in addition to those who might have recognized me as a creative. I was quite concerned and frightened about potential criticism. When I was sixteen, I finally had the courage to introduce my music to the public by releasing an EP, “Everything, All the Time,” around my birthday. I won’t say that before I performed my songs for other people, I thought I was a wonderful musician, but it was a reality check for me when I did that.”
By utilizing his skill to express himself artistically and entirely from other people’s desires or beliefs on what it means to be happy, he was able to deal with setbacks in a constructive manner.
“Since then, I think it’s incredibly thrilling to be capable of sharing this with you,” the artist continues. Realizing that others can relate to what I’m going through and value my artistic activity has been immensely relieving and inspiring.”
jacuh further adds: “I start the process with any of it. I feel like producing at the moment, but I’m happy with my method’s success. On rare occasions, I might employ the traditional artistic technique or attempt to establish the beat, repeat it for a while, and improvise it while writing what I’m saying. I make most of the rhythms and mix a few of my songs. To find the best way to communicate what I’m thinking.”
