This summer’s soundtrack is the upcoming release of “Dead Presidents” by emerging artist Odi-Unknown. Be sure to tune in on July 21st!

Brian Odiana, more commonly known by his stage name Odi-Unknown, is a talented singer-songwriter who has made a name for himself in the music industry. Born in Hyattsville, MD, on March 4, 1993, to a Nigerian immigrant family, Odi has always had music in his blood. Raised in Boston, MA, he honed his musical talents from a very young age and has worked hard to establish himself as a force to be reckoned with in the industry.

At 30, Odi-Unknown stands tall at 6’2 and weighs roughly 210 lbs. He is known for his unique blend of R&B trap music that incorporates rap elements, resulting in a sound that is distinctly his own. Odi’s music has been compared to PartyNextDoor, and he draws inspiration from various artists, including Bryson Tiller, Young Thug, Trippie Redd, DVSN, Brent Faiyaz, Lil Yachty, and Cochise.

Despite his success, Odi still remembers his humble beginnings. Raised by a single mother, he knows firsthand the struggles and sacrifices of being a single parent. He has a deep love for his brother and sister, who have always been a source of support and inspiration for him.

Sadly, Odi’s father was deported at 12 years old, an experience that undoubtedly significantly impacted his life. Nevertheless, Odi has persevered, and his music is a testament to his resilience and determination to succeed.

Odi’s love for his Nigerian culture is evident in every aspect of his life. He takes pride in his heritage and tries incorporating it into everyday activities. Despite having his hoop dreams shattered during his college years, his passion for basketball still lingers within him. He often indulges in the sport and never misses an opportunity to shoot some hoops.

At Fisher College, fate led him to cross paths with a talented musician named Muna. One day, while humming a Mario song, Odi was overheard by Muna, who quickly realized that he had a gifted voice. Muna invited Odi to join him in his studio session, which Odi immediately jumped at. Together, they traveled to Lowell, MA, to record a soulful and captivating song, “Cleopatra.”

The song “Cleopatra” was an instant hit among their peers, and they were praised for their unique collaboration. Soon, word about Odi’s musical talent spread like wildfire throughout the college, and he received offers to perform at various events. One of the most significant opportunities came when Odi was given a chance to showcase his talent at Emerson College, a truly unforgettable opportunity.

Odi’s journey from a young boy with hoop dreams to a talented musician is inspiring. He never gave up on his basketball passion and continued playing it even after his college dreams were cut short. However, his love for music truly shone through when he met Muna and discovered his hidden talent. Odi’s story is a testament to perseverance and following one’s dreams, no matter the obstacles.
